Tallinn, May 20 – RIA Novosti, Nikolai Adashkevich. Tartu County Court on Wednesday authorized the arrest of the Prefect of the Prefecture Police Idaskoy Aivaru Otsalta, which suspected of committing several crimes, the press service of the court.

Prefect Idaskoy Prefectural Police Aivar Otsalt on Tuesday morning was arrested by the Security Police of Estonia (CAPO), which works to protect the public interest.

Otsalta suspect in the group embezzlement, private surveillance, illicit arms trafficking, as well as participation in the illegal hunting and fishing, which caused significant damage to the environment.

Earlier Otsalt headed Lyunaskuyu prefecture, in the area of responsibility which includes the city of Tartu, and his detention was linked to a loud series of arrests of criminal police officers of Tartu.

In early May, had been arrested several members of the Tartu criminal police, who are suspected in a group assignment trustee of property, causing significant damage to the environment and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
